Two day's ago we got the house, after months of waiting. We've gone in and its amazing - we love it. We've already had people over and they think it's massive, but it's not.
So far we've stripped the walls in the two downstairs rooms. We've also removed the two fireplaces and will be smashing them up tomorrow. Fire places are surprisingly easy to remove, when you have a big hammer and bolster - bit painful on the back though they weighed about the same as a person! Need to find out how to get rid of the rubble...perhaps a hippo bag? The front bedroom has been pained out white and the carpet's been ripped up - be taking that to the tip tomorrow. Also we've started to clear some of the guttering.
